LV: Insert Coin(s)
Who doesn’t love some old school video games every now and then? Follower @apollotracy turned me on to this spot in downtown LV on Freemont called Insert Coin(s). Best thing about this place is alcohol is on the menu. My thoughts are this might be a great place to re-enact a scene out of one of my favorite movies The WIzard. Yeah I know they were in Reno but you can pretend anyway that you...

LV: Fruition
This is one of the dopest spots in Las Vegas. I’ve stopped by here several times and can’t get enough. I always find something new. This is one of the OG stores to bring rare vintage to the retail storefront and present it in a fashionable manner albeit crazy fashion. I can’t say enough about Fruition except that you should check it out. It has to be experienced no matter how...

LV: Frozen Hot Chocolate?
At Serendipity just outside of Caesar’s Palace.
3570 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas - (702) 731-7373
They have food & various desserts (spaghetti, hot dogs, grilled cheezy sandwiches, ice cream sundaes); even a bar! …but the main attraction at this place is their Frozen Hot Chocolate.
It is effing amazing. They take hot chocolate and freeze it, so it’s like a...

on a side note: WITC
Where is the Cool? is a new digital magazine that has Mr. Donald Glover on the cover for their inaugural issue. You’ll find a good little interview towards the end with him and you might even draw some inspiration about places he should check out. I just saw the interview now and Donald mentions speakeasies. It looks like we were on the right track with Bourbon & Branch in SF. Keep the...

SF tonight, LV next
Your gonna kill SF tonight. Those Hill People (yes I call San Franciscans Hill People) are in love with you based on the many responses I’ve received about this show. For everybody else, Las Vegas is up next and while I have a good idea about some places he should check out can you send me some more dope spots in the area he is performing? Specifically around the Hard Rock Cafe which is on...

SF: Ike's Place
Thanks Freemilk for submitting this. It was next on my list for SF! Can’t wait to go back and hit this place up. - @pdxkeith
Freemilk writes…
Ike’s Place makes the best sandwiches, hands down. They have so many different varieties of sandwiches, but you can’t go wrong with the “menage-a-trois.” Plus you get a bag of chips and a caramel apple lollipop...

SF: Bourbon & Branch
This is a speakeasy located in the Tenderloin. A sketch area for sure but I’ve never had an issue walking through it. This is a pretty exclusive bar because it is pretty small so you need to make reservations and sticking with the speakeasy style you need to setup a password to actually get in. This can be done on their website. It can be hard to find since there is no official signage but...

SF: Self Edge
When you are in S.F. you gotta check out the original Self Edge. They are the kings of denim and feature some of the finest brands in the world including Iron Heart, Flat Head, and Sugar Cane (all personal favorites really but seriously dope jeans). If you have never heard of it or been to its stores in NY & LA this store was built out of the community SuperFuture, a fashion geeks porn.

San Francisco
Okay, Donald lives in L.A. so i’m going to assume he knows a lot more about it than I do. But I have had the pleasure of visiting S.F. several times and know some great places he might enjoy. And it looks like you guys have a lot of suggestions as well. So here we go…

Solana Beach: Pizza Port
I’m assuming all places look like this in Solana Beach. - @pdxkeith
Lana writes….
Just literally down the block from the Belly Up (where Donald is performing Tuesday night) is a fantastic local joint, Pizza Port. Known for both their amazing pizzas and their homebrewed beer, this is a MUST STOP for both locals and out of towners. What to order? Beer-wise, you really can’t go...

Next Stop: Solana Beach
I’ve been getting a ton of submissions for stores and eateries that Donald should stop by while on his tour but I haven’t received anything for Solana Beach yet and thats the next stop on the IAMDONALD tour. If you know any cool spots including whiskey bars, dope stores or some bomb-ass (yes I said that) food joints then hit me up ASAP.
Submit places for DG to visit on tour
I need your help guys. Donald has checked out the site and he is interested in extending it to other cities. So there are several ways you can make this happen. Click on the pencil or question mark in the right hand corner of the site and submit. You can also email me at doitdonald@gmail.com or find me on twitter @pdxkeith. Be sure to include as much detail as you can including pics, locations...

After the show: Produce Row
Produce Row is a fantastic spot. They have great food but most of all the atmosphere and the drinks are superb, it is as if the life blood of Portland pumped through its walls. They have some great freshly made drinks and ton of beers on tap. My favorite part is the Beer & Whiskey pairings. Neat of course.

Donald Glover Coverage last July
Here is a link to a blog I wrote about DG back in July last year. Now half of the BOP crew will be headed to the show tonight based on it. I have converted many and will continue to do so…

Local 35 (Another GQ Darling)
This wouldn’t be a cool tumblr about cool places in Portland without mentioning the uber-cool Local 35. And by cool I mean just nice people. They have always been cordial with me and inviting even though my fat-ass can’t fit into a pair of Naked & Famous jeans. I go for the accessories there and to stay up one what’s new. They always have dope shit from Property Of… and...

Is that a Bunk Sandwich or God's vagina?
One very popular sandwich stop in PDX is Bunk Sandwiches. They have had media coverage by everybody from New York Times to GQ. If you are in the market for a little piece of God’s sumpthin sumpthin than this is that sumpthin sumpthin for you. You can’t go wrong eating at Bunk Sandwiches, but God willing you can try.

Frances May
Arguably one of the finer shops in town frances may has welcomed some very snazzy brands to the Portland area. You may know some of them, like Robert Geller, Rag & Bone, Common Projects, Gitman Bros., Alexander Wang, Wings + Horns and APC. I highly recommend checking this place out for those cool, higher-end duds.
Here is what they have to say about themselves…

Compound Gallery
Just two blocks away from The Woodlands, Compound is its far east brother. A staple in downtown PDX, Compound has been serving the art and sneaker scene for over 10 years. They carry a plethora of toys and other sweet trinkets. They do collaborations with Shwood sunglasses and a bunch of other cool shit. There is a library of bad ass, slick design books and a wide selection of Japanese fashion...

A Foodies Wet Dream Come True
Yo Donald! The day of your performance is gonna be a crazy day in Portland. It is the annual Eat Mobile food cart festival. And if you don’t know already Portland is the fastest up & coming and sometimes considered best food cart city in the country. You can literally find just about any kind of food served out of a once forgotten camping trailer. Those trailers now are all suped up...
